Orchestral Auditions
I braved the orchestral audition process for the first time ever! Places I traveled to: Charlotte, Washington D.C., and New Orleans. I have a newfound respect for musicians that spend years preparing for these auditions. For those cellists who are at all interested in knowing more about the style of orchestra playing down south, I am happy to give you my perspective!

“Is It Already Dusk?”
A theater/dance piece by Joan Evans inspired by the life of Takashi Tanemori, a Hiroshima surviver who also witnessed the events of 9/11. Music is composed and performed by Laurence Gingold, pianist and Tomoko Akaboshi, violinist, and me.

I’ll be earning my official yoga teacher training at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, MA working with Jahoda Edmunds and Brahmani Liebman. Hopefully I’ll have a chance to catch a concert or two at Tanglewood Music Center which is right next door. (June 3rd to 29th)
